Battle of the Protectors: Holy Water vs Ceramic Hybrid SiO2

Battle of the Protectors: Holy Water vs Ceramic Hybrid SiO2

It's almost winter. The weather is getting harsher and you need something to protect the work you put in on your weekend detail.

Car Gods have got the answer. Well, we've got 2 answers actually, but which one do you prefer?

We're going to be looking at the differences between our Ceramic Hybrid SiO2 Spray Wax and our 12-month paint sealant, Holy Water.

Both provide car paint protection, but what really sets them apart?

Ceramic Hybrid Spray SiO2 Wax

Ceramic coatings are all the rage in the detailing industry, and for good reason. A ceramic coating offers an exceptional shine and, depending on the type, can sometimes even protect your car’s paintwork for longer than our Holy Water paint sealant. You may wonder what different types of ceramic coatings are available.

Let’s start with the heavy-duty, long-lasting ceramic coating that lasts 3 years or more. This type of coating contains polysilazane, making it incredibly durable and ideal for those looking for an extended layer of paint protection. However, the preparation and application require care, as incorrect application can result in less-than-perfect results.

On the other hand, we have the SiO2 Ceramic Hybrid Spray Wax. It provides a simpler way to achieve ceramic protection for up to 6 months. It's quick and easy to apply, and while they don’t last as long as traditional coatings, it offers fantastic gloss and shine, giving your car that just-polished look.

Holy Water – 12-Month Paint Sealant

Holy Water is, without a doubt, a favourite among our customers. Its easy application and the impressive results make it an ideal choice for car paint protection. With Holy Water, there’s no need for special prep work – just wash and dry your car, and you’re ready to go. Simply apply 2-3 sprays per panel, then use a clean microfibre towel to wipe and buff for a high shine that leaves your paintwork protected for up to a full 12 months.

We recommend washing your car at least once a month to maintain the 12-month car paint protection that Holy Water provides. Keeping your vehicle clean prevents dirt build-up, which can wear down the protective layer, so a regular wash is key.

Now, it’s up to you to decide. Which paint protection suits your needs best?

Will you choose the extra gloss of our SiO2 Ceramic Hybrid Spray Wax or the 12-month durability of Holy Water?
