What is it?
The most essential part of a wash process is the pre-wash.
When it comes to having a car in perfect condition it makes complete sense to be as safe and careful as possible during your wash stage. A poor wash method can put swirls and scratches in rather than preventing them from happening. Swirls and micro scratches can be put in to the paint if the surface hasn’t been properly prepared for the contact wash. This results in the need for machine polishing further down the line when the paintwork looks dull and faded.
A good pre-wash shouldn’t be harmful to waxes, sealants or coatings as this will only ruin the work previously put in.
Why use it?
The simple answer to this question is to prevent further damage to your vehicle.
A pre-wash should be safe enough to strip the top layer of dirt, road grime and bug deposits from the car without damaging any protection that may be there as this can have a detrimental effect on the condition of your car going forward.
Pre-washes should be easy to use and help achieve better results during the wash stage instead of staining and marking like cheap car wash TFR’s. The end goal is to achieve a cleaner car and reduce the possibility of adding swirls during the contact wash stage.
You can also use the pre-wash to agitate and clean the more intricate areas of a vehicle that are needed during the pre-wash stage, such as door shuts, badges, fuel flap and boot hinges. Car Gods Almighty Power contains corrosion inhibitors to break the bond between contaminants to help provide the perfect pre-wash stage.
How to use it
Liberally spray the neat product on the whole vehicle, but we recommend a quick rinse off first in hot conditions to prevent the pre-wash drying out.
Once the product has been dwelling for a couple of minutes, you can simply rinse off, or, if using a snow foam, apply the Car Gods Arctic Storm over the top to reduce water waste and leave to dwell for a further couple of minutes.
Once these few minutes have passed, simply rinse off and you’re ready for the contact wash stage.
If you do need to work on some more intricate areas with a detailing brush, this is then the perfect time to reapply the Almighty Power to those areas and work in to agitate the dirt further. As before, just a simple rinse and the pre-wash stage is complete.
Until next time, I've been Tom, and that's detailing.
