What is it?
We’ve all heard of waxing a car. Most people think due to the common names of car shampoos like “Wash & Wax” that waxing a car is done whilst lathering a car up during the soapy wash stage. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Traditionally speaking, waxing a car is the long laborious task of siting there with a pot of wax, arm aching and a pain in arse to remove. However if you choose a Car Gods Ceramic Hard Wax, none of this applies.
Our Ceramic Hard Wax has been specifically designed to be easy on and easy off, while maintaining that impressive gloss and beading associated with a hard wax. This wax spent a lot of time in R&D as we wanted to blend the perfect formula of quality with ease of use. Couple all this together with the facts it has a great fragrance and you get so many applications per pot, it’s a no brainer.
Why use it?
Protecting a vehicle, adding gloss, water beading properties, easy to use and smells fresh. Need any more reasons?
This wax comes as a complete kit with a handy pouch to keep it all in. Designed from start to finish in Car Gods own lab by the leading chemist (every pot is signed on the bottom) and Car Gods detailers, with the sole intention of giving the enthusiast or detailer the best possible experience and end results.
Ceramic Hard Wax is a great way of protecting your investment, while giving the slick, wet looking paintwork it deserves, without giving you arm ache. Lets face it, there is a huge level of satisfaction when wiping away wax residue to reveal a high gloss finish underneath too.
How to use it
Here’s how to get the best from your ceramic hard wax.
Clean, decontaminate and dry the vehicle.
The next step in an ideal world is to polish the paintwork, rid it of any swirls or marks and bring back the shine. This is only going to help the wax do more for you as it cures. Once the vehicle is dry, its time to get the wax out. Open the lid and liberally apply the wax to the applicator. As the applicator is clean and new, it needs that extra bit of lubrication from the product to glide over the paint.
Now to make contact with the car itself. Apply the wax in circular motions, one panel at a time, to make sure every bit of the panel has even coverage. There's a common question regarding straight lines or circles when applying wax. As long as you have properly cleaned and prepped your vehicle using a clay bar and chemical decontamination, there shouldn’t be any bits of grit or debris on the paint to get stuck in the applicator.
It's only with poor prep do you create swirls when waxing. Once the panel in question has had a good coating of wax, you just need to leave it to haze which is a couple of minutes and then remove with a clean, dry microfibre. Repeat for every panel on the vehicle, and there you have a glossy result with less effort than a traditional wax.
Until next time, I've been Tom, and that's detailing.
